The Maze Runner by James Dashner

At night in the tent my boyfriend and I often watch a movie together and we watched the complete triology. But at the end of the the thirth movie, there were still some questions unanswered. No better way to get answers than the read the books.

Thomas wakes up in a metal box, with no memories at all. The box brings him to the Glade. A place withing 4 walls surrounded by a maze. A maze with a way out nobody has found for 2 years long and to make it a bit more difficult, the maze changes every night, but the maze isn’t there only problem, inside it are machine-beasts who were made to sting them. For 2 years everything has been on the same schedule, a new boy every month and suplies every week, but after Thomas arrives everything chanches.

Thomas reeled in the pain, locked it somewhere deep inside him. He did it for Teresa. For Newt and Minho. Whatever darkness awaited them, they’d be together, and that was all that mattered right then.

This book series will always have a special place in my heart. It has been one of the first series I got invested in wenn I was really young and bought all the books. I remember pulling my best friends with me wenn the first movie came out, because they had to watch it. The storytelling is insane and really creative. Till this day I have never read a story that comes close to the plot in this one.

“Shouldn’t someone give a pep talk or something?” Minho asked, pulling Thomas’s attention away from Alby. “Go ahead,” Newt replied. Minho nodded and faced the crowd. “Be careful,” He said dryly. “Don’t die.” Thomas would have laughed if he could, but he was too scared for it to come out. “Great. We’re all bloody inspired,” Newt answered.

I am going to read the second and thirth book soon and I don’t think the prequel books are going to have wait long before they are going to get picked up. I also managed to get my hands on the ebook version of the crack palace novella. This is one of the later books of James Dasher in which Newts perspective on events in the third book is told. Newt is my favorite character of this book so I can’t wait to read that one.

The first book of this trilogy will get five stars from me.
