Happy Birthday!

I am glad it’s only my birthday once a year. This was the first time I had to plan and organize my birthday all by myself. Doing the groceries was only a small part of it all, and I was running low on time. To make it ‘easier’ for myself, we decided to paint the kitchen.

The day before my family came by, I made a birthday cake in the kitchen. I had to watch every move because the paint was still wet and sometimes I needed something that was inside the cabinets. I definitely had to think outside the box.

In the end, we got it done, and we all ate together at the dinner table, which we had placed in the lounge room on the unfinished floor because that’s what you get if you bought a house that was built in 1966 and bought it in April.

It was nice having my friends and family over to show them our house for the first time, and next year, on my birthday, it will look completely different.
