Home Sweet Home

The inside of the ship was massive and there was a lot to do. There was a swimming pool, lots of restaurants and little shops. Less interesting for us but they even had a few bars, a night show and a casino. We went to bed early to prepare ourselves for the workweek up ahead and were quite tired after only sleeping in a tent for three weeks.

The next morning we were already close to arriving, but we had to wait for a bit to give way to three carcoships comming out of Kiel Canal. We walked one last round on the ship, before getting our stuff from the cabin and heading to the car. We didn’t have to wait long before we could drive of the ship as we were one of the first cars in the row.

It took some time, mostly around Hamburg, but we arrived in the Netherlands and at home. After standing in a traffic jam for around one and a half hours we were glad to be back at six in the evening. We even had enough time to get our stuff out of the car and back to their desinated spots. The car got a well decerved break and cleaning after driving us around for three weeks. In total we drove for 5869 kilometers and the kilometers onboard of the ferry’s are not included in those.
