Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

I got this book series from my boyfriend for my birthday and have been waiting to read it. I have always been interested in the story of Jack the Ripper, but I haven’t yet read a book about this topic, so I was very excited to start reading.

This book is about Audrey Rose. She lives in a wealthy family, but unlike the other girls in the city, she isn’t interested in drinking tea in beautiful dresses. She likes to spend her time in her uncle's laboratory studying the bodies of dead people, all to practice forensic medicine. But not everybody she sees dies a natural death, as the serial killer Jack the Ripper is on the loose.

“Roses have both petals and thorns, my dark flower. You needn’t believe something weak because it appears delicate. Show the world your bravery.”

This was such an easy book to read. I read it in less than a week. The writing pulled me in, and after finishing a chapter, I immediately started reading the next one. The murder mistery kept me on my toes and with a tiny bit of romance it made the book come together quite nicely. The october month was the perfect month to pick this one up.

“Someone screamed; perhaps it was me. Though it would have made me happier if it were Thomas Blasted Cresswell.”

I am so happy to have read so many 5-star books this year, and this book is going to be another one.
