Winter at Pantropica!
The winter was a break for me on the internet and full of offline winter activities. With one of my best friends, I went out to the winter exposition of Pantropica. To enjoy the day even more and to warm our hands a little bit we got one of the best hot chocolates I have had in a long time. Hot chocolate with so much whipped cream and marshmallows that it was leaking all over the cups.
Pantropica is a park where you walk through all the different climates that the world has to offer and for the winter holidays, there were candles and fairy lights everywhere. It made the park look cozy even though it was quite busy. When we least expected it a bird flew right over our heads and went to sit right in front of us. Mr. Toucan gave us quite the scare.
If you ever happen to be at Pantropica I would not skip the Rainbow Lorikeet. These birds are so much fun to be around. They greet you right at the door and will sit on your hands, shoulders, and even on your head. Just follow the sound to find them. They scream loud enough to know exactly where they are. Put no petting their wings and they aren’t afraid to let you know.
The place where we stayed the longest was at the Meerkats. They look so cute and it was fun to see them looking around there enclosure. They had just gotten food which they had to share with a few enormous turtles. I think we sat there for around 30 minutes before getting up to continue our path through the park.
The flamingos and ducks had even more fun. They had a light show at their home and a bubble gun. If I were to do that at my house I would be in trouble with the neighbors.
