Sinterklaasavond!
The fifth of December was the night we, as a family, came together to celebrate Sinterklaas. There were way too many presents, but luckily, most of them were practical gifts for Levi, my 6-month-old nephew. My boyfriend and I also got a lot of nice gifts, which we are very grateful for.
It was great to get together with everybody together, as this doesn’t happen all the time, and it is always nice to take the time to have a lovely evening together. We should do this more often, even if it’s just for a couple of hours, and my sister’s boyfriend made the most delicious ‘kruidnoten’ from which we all couldn’t stop eating.
The weekend after Sinterklaas, we found a place in our home for all the presents. I can’t wait to start reading All the Devils by Catelyn Wilson, one of the gifts I received. We also received the Harry Potter Travel Guide, which we are constantly taking with us on our next road trip to the United Kingdom.
My mom, sister, and I are into getting food through the ‘Too Good To Go’ app. This time, my sister and I got hold of one of the holiday bags from our local bakery and got the most delicious things. I look forward to the chocolate letter because who doesn’t love chocolate?
