Boat life on an island.

This day the weather was bad enough that we had to wait it out in the harbour of Vlieland.

The morning was still okay, a lot of wind but no rain. So we decided to go on a stroll around the island. First to the village and the shops and after that we had to go to the Lighthouse. It took a lot of stairs to get there, but the view was beautiful.

On the other side we went downhill trough de woods and dunes. We went to one of the war museums. This was quite an interesting one, because you could walk through the bunkers and trenches. These were build in the world war and gave a good idea about how they lived back then.

The afternoon was not that interesting. We mostly hid in our boat, because from the moment we got back on board till the moment we went to bed it had not stopped raining. There even was thunder and lighting so we were glad not to be on the sea right now.
