Another day on the Wadden Sea
We woke up a bit early to clear some things out of the way onboard before we were ready to leave Vlieland. Sailing gear and boots on because even before we left it was already raining again. At 10 minutes before nine am we left the harbor and went out to sail.
Sadly enough we could not sail everything and had to turn the engine on. The sail did help with going faster and more stabile so we left them on. After a while we turned a little bit so that the wind came a bit more from the side and we put on the Genua. While doing this we saw our first and only seal of the day. A small gray head above the water. Because we were both busy with lines nobody was able to get a picture. But we are certain this will not be the last seal we see.
The ‘sailing’ went all quite fast and at around 12 o’clock we were already at Harlingen. We had to wait a bit at the entrance of the harbor before we could go to the place we were aloud to stay the night and at 12.30 we docked our ship at this place.
Again right on time because when we were putting our sailing gear away it started raining again and heavely this time. We waited out the bad weather and in the evening we went for stroll around the city, and bought ourselves a delicious icecream. Which my boyfriend ate before I could take a picture.
