Day Four: Åkrafjordvegen

Another beautiful morning with a great view to wake up to. It was raining, but unlike in the Netherlands I wasn’t really bothered by it. It felt refreshing and the wind we had all night long had setteld down to a light breeze. To get to our next destination we had to take another ferry. Because of the weather we could only see part of the mountains. The tops were covered in clouds.

If you thought the roads couldn’t get weirder think again. We had to ask permission to pass. Not from another human but from more than fifty goats standing in the middle of the road. Not something I get to see every day, but its a memory I am never going to forget.

After passing the goats we got to our sleeping spot for the night. I feel like I say this every night but the view is quite something. After a day of driving in the rain we were blessed with an afternoon full of sunshine. The perfect time to go on a walk.

Out of the other window of our rooftent we are able to see this waterfall and we can hear it to. It was raining the hole day so the amount of water comming down has increased since the rain left us and went more up the mountain. It will be a lovely sound to fall asleep to. We are already having trouble to keep our eyes open.

It’s still feeling a bit like a dream. All those beautiful places we get to visit. Standing in the middle of nowhere without anyone around. Not something you get while standing on a camping. It’s a feeling I can’t really describe, because there is nothing that comes close. It’s feels a bit like coming home to something you didn’t knew you needed.
