Day Three: Nedreidane
It was amazing to wake up so far up a mountain with such a view. However, we couldn’t see any stars that night because the hills were fogged up most of the night. It still was lovely.
We made a few stops on our way to our next sleeping spot. One of them was this small waterfall. Hopefully, we can spot a bigger one in the upcoming days. I sadly can’t capture the sound in this picture, but it was relaxing to listen to.
The next spot we stopped at was the “sverd i fjell” in Stavanger. These three 9-meter-high swords were placed there in 1983 to remember one of the greatest Viking battles: the Battle of Hafrsfjord.
After driving for a little while longer, we found the most beautiful sleeping spot. We have a perfect view over the Lysefjord. To get here, we went from high to low. The highest point we reached was 287m high, and the lowest point was -275m below sea level.
We relaxed for a little bit in the car and prepared to hike up the mountain next to the car. The view was amazing, and after having a snack at the top, we went back down again. On our way down, we even made some new friends. Their friend was trying to find us because down by our car was another sheep. It probably was checking if we parked all right.
