Day Sixteen / Seventeen: Back home again

Before we had to get on the ferry to get back home, we had a bit of time to spare. We went to Kristiansand, walked around the city, and looked at the beautiful church there. The church is one of the largest Cathedrals in Norway. Sadly, the original church was burned down in 1880, but it was rebuilt again, and the walls were reused.

After our city walk, it was time to get going. We got on the ferry at 13:30. This time, we were seated inside the ship instead of on the deck. We relaxed and took a nap because we had a long day ahead. At 18:35, we got off the ferry and started our 9-hour drive back. With a quick dinner break, we were soon driving around in the dark, but the full moon kept us company.

We arrived home at 4:30 and went straight to bed. After sleeping for 4 hours, we pulled all our stuff out of the car, cleaned it, and did the laundry. The house is starting to look a bit less messy, but we aren’t there yet; most of the day, we were too busy showing our friends and family the picture we made. But the best feeling of the day came from being able to shower with hot water. I had been looking forward to that for the last week.

I bought many new books in Norway, and luckily, I have a few free days before I have to return to work. The only thing left to do is figure out which book I want to start with.
