Day Thirteen: Lake Sporevann

Today, we had a long travel day, but we made a few stops to make the journey more enjoyable. Our first stop was the Ruins of the Nes Church. This church was built in the 12th century on a sacrificial site. The church was burned down in 1566 and again in 1854. After the second time burning down, they never rebuild it again. We were here when the sun was at the very top of the sky, but supposedly, at night, one of the priests, who took their own life in the church itself, comes out to haunt the place. It was too sunny today for the ghost, so maybe we must return sometime in the future.

After visiting the mystical ruins of the Nes church, we drove to Oslo. The weather was perfect for walking around the city. We went up on the opera house's roof and then spent a lot of time in a few of the bookstores. There were way too many books to choose from.

After driving for almost eight hours and eating at a fast-food restaurant on the side of the highway, we found a perfect place to stay the night. In the woods, with the sound of the lake, we will sleep soundly tonight.
