Getting ready for our summer trip!

It's finally time to pack after waiting since December to return to traveling. The most challenging part is finding out what you do and don’t need. To make it a bit easier for myself, I laid everything out on the table and made a deal with myself that everything needed to fit inside of my 45L backpack, except for my hiking boots and the stuff that would go on every hike with me. Surprisingly, everything fit, and I didn’t have to take anything out. I even put in a few extra socks.

After packing, it was time to enjoy the last few days at home. I can’t take everything with me, and leaving the chickens behind is still the most difficult part. Luckily, my parents will take great care of them and send me pictures every few days to keep me updated.

The other thing left to do was go riding with the horses. I will miss them too so we went for a nice walk outside in the fields. It was a bit scary for her, but she was courageous and went all the way to the next village.
