Happy Birthday!

This morning we enjoyed our breakfast at the picknick bench to take in the last moments of the view before getting back in the car. We were right on time as is started to rain when we were just packed up.

Today would be another short drive to our sleeping location so we decided to stop in a nearby town, Fagenes, to explore. The name means beautiful and it was a beautiful town to explore. We went on the island, which is a small forest with lots of birds and we even saw a plane.

After exploring and buying some groceries we went back to the car. It started to rain a bit more, but the views along the way weren’t worse because of it. Although it was a bit strange to see all the cows walk in the middle of the road. They went to the side of the road without much trouble and we could continue our drive.

After driving for a bit longer than planned we found this beautiful place to stay the night and I can hear the sheep’s bells in the distance so maybe they will pay us a visit.

A birthday isn’t a birthday without something sweet and backing a cake on the road isn’t something I have mastered yet, but the store had some nice treats were we can celebrate Jurjen’s birthday with.
