All the Devils by Catelyn Wilson

After finsihing the Infinity Alchemist I was still in a reading mood and the book I got during the christmas times felt like the perfect one to start. This book hasn’t been to long on my TBR, but it felt like the genre I would enjoy the most at this time.

In the novel All the Devils we follow Andy after she starts school at Ravenswood Academy. At the academy, her sister, Violet only recently died and after seeing her sister in the casket Andy doesn't believe it was her sister. Andy goes to the academy to investigate but she discovers more than she bargained for and has to give up even more to see the end of it. Luckily she doesn’t have to get it all done by herself and meets Jae.

“My father doesn’t like to know my failures. So, why share them if it makes both our lives more difficult?”

Catelyn Wilson, All the Devils

This was a great book to enjoy after my hours of work. It was again a light read but with enough plot to keep me invested. Most of all it was the quick read I was looking for at that time and it made me want to read in every bit of spare time I had. What I did miss in this book were a few unpredictable plot twists, that would have made it even better.

“Jae swallows. ‘This isn’t the time.’ ‘It never is,’ I say bitterly. ‘There’s always someone dying, something to chase.”

Catelyn Wilson, All the Devils

Even though it’s a dark academia book there isn’t much schoon involved. It takes place at a school, but Andy barely goes to the classes and we only meet a few other students who you don’t really get to know, because of this I didn’t care at all about the students who went missing.

I still loved to read it and will give it 4-stars.
