Back onto the water!

This morning we started our day a bit scarred, because we woke up with crows in our mast. Bad luck, but when would it hit. We left the harbor of Mandal to sail again. Although there wasn’t much sailing because the wind wasn’t there. We did get somewhere else today. We left at 6 o’clock and at 11:30 we arrived at Kristiansand. Then the trouble hit. Our fuel filter was clocked, so we had to change that. After that all our electricity went out and at first we couldn’t find the problem. Luckily we found it and were able to fix it. Hopefully that was al the bad luck the crows gave us.

Because we were so early there was plenty of time to go and start to explore the city. While we came into the bay we had seen that there was a Ferris wheel on the dock. Offcourse we had to go in there and the sight was beautiful.

After that we went into the city. There were lots of shops to explore and also a lot of old buildings. One of them was the big church in the middle of the city and the doors were open to take a look inside. It was quite a big church, they even had space for two church-organs (Dutch: kerkorgels) en a really big painting that was almost the full height of the wall.

After we were done with the city, we went into the mountains. From the water we saw a fortress of some kind. The walk was not too bad. A bit steeply and hot in the sun, but the view was beautiful and we were able to make some cool pictures. The fortress was not as big as we had thought but it was still nice to see.

At night the fortress next to our ship, another and bigger one than the one on the mountain, was beautiful in the lights around it.
