Lots of bridges and strange ones!
This morning the wind was al little less harsh, so at 8:30 we left the harbor and went on our way. This day we had to go trough a lot of bridges with every time about 30 to an hour in between. We went trough 9 of them. Fortunately we had the wind in our back and with de Genua rolled out we went quite quickly.
It was not the most difficult trip, even tho the wind picked up to around 25 knots sometimes. After topping our tank off at a gasstation there was lots of time to look around. We even got some cute looks back. Sadly we could not take them with us on the boat.
One off the last bridges before arriving at our next location was a very strange one. I have never seen a bridge lift sideways in the air. For far away we first thought it was a strange building, but when we looked longer they started lowering it and that normally doesn’t happen with buildings.
At around 1 PM we arrived in Leeuwarden and after putting the sailing gear away, we went to explore the city. Not without succes because we found ourselves a new book to enjoy during the following days.
